Christian prayer in public school is prohibited, but now the Marxists in California are trying to force millions of students to chant to the Aztec gods of human sacrifice and cannibalism.

California’s proposed “ethnic studies” curriculum calls for the “decolonization” of American society and a “counter-genocide” against white Christians.

The curriculum would also require students to chant to the Aztec ‘gods’ of human sacrifice and cannibalism.

Investigative reporter Christopher Rufo obtained the proposed curriculum and broke it down:

  • The solution, according to the curriculum materials, is to “name, speak to, resist, and transform the hegemonic Eurocentric neocolonial condition” in a posture of “transformational resistance.” The ultimate goal, Cuauhtin says, is to engineer a “counter-genocide” against whites.
  • The curriculum includes an official “ethnic studies community chant,” in which students appeal to the Aztec gods—including the god of human sacrifice—for the power to become “warriors” for “social justice.” Students seek a “a revolutionary spirit” through these incantations.

The California Department of Education will vote on the statewide ethnic studies curriculum next week.

The new program, called the Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum, seeks to extend the Left’s cultural dominance of California’s public university system, 50 years in the making, to the state’s entire primary and secondary education system, which consists of 10,000 public schools serving a total of 6 million students.

In theoretical terms, the new ethnic studies curriculum is based on the “pedagogy of the oppressed,” developed by Marxist theoretician Paolo Freire, who argued that students must be educated about their oppression in order to attain “critical consciousness” and, consequently, develop the capacity to overthrow their oppressors. Following this dialectic, the model curriculum instructs teachers to help students “challenge racist, bigoted, discriminatory, imperialist/colonial beliefs” and critique “white supremacy, racism and other forms of power and oppression.” This approach, in turn, enables teachers to inspire their pupils to participate in “social movements that struggle for social justice” and “build new possibilities for a post-racist, post-systemic racism society.”

This religious concept is fleshed out in the model curriculum’s official “ethnic studies community chant.” The curriculum recommends that teachers lead their students in a series of indigenous songs, chants, and affirmations, including the “In Lak Ech Affirmation,” which appeals directly to the Aztec gods. Students first clap and chant to the god Tezkatlipoka—whom the Aztecs traditionally worshipped with human sacrifice and cannibalism—asking him for the power to be “warriors” for “social justice.” Next, the students chant to the gods Quetzalcoatl, Huitzilopochtli, and Xipe Totek, seeking “healing epistemologies” and “a revolutionary spirit.” Huitzilopochtli, in particular, is the Aztec deity of war and inspired hundreds of thousands of human sacrifices during Aztec rule. Finally, the chant comes to a climax with a request for “liberation, transformation, [and] decolonization,” after which students shout “Panche beh! Panche beh!” in pursuit of ultimate “critical consciousness.”

eBay purges Dr. Seuss books while still allowing Nazi manifestos, pro-slavery books

Ebay this week is working to purge from its servers the listing of six disputed Dr. Seuss books, even as it continues to allow the listing and sale of works such as Hitler’s antisemitic Nazi manifesto “Mein Kampf.”

Dr. Seuss Enterprises announced this week that it would cease production of half a dozen Seuss books it claimed contain “hurtful” and “wrong” portrayals, including pictures of Asian men and at least one use of the word “Eskimo.”

Ebay shortly thereafter announced that it would be scrubbing listings of those books from its online marketplace. Copies of the discontinued children’s stories were being listed and sold for significantly inflated prices following the books’ cancellations.

The Internet bidding behemoth said this week that it is “currently sweeping [its] marketplace to remove these items,” with a spokeswoman reportedly admitting that the total purge of the titles will “take some time.”

Yet, even as eBay works hard to remove those books from its servers, multiple books with far more controversial content remain readily available for purchase on the site.

Among those are Adolf Hitler’s infamous “Mein Kampf,” a vitriolic autobiography written by the genocidal dictator several years before his rise to power. In that work, Hitler laid out his grievances against what he said was a global Jewish conspiracy and called for “international poisoners” to be “exterminated,” a foreshadowing of Hitler’s eventual attempt to exterminate the Jewish people in Europe.

Also readily av ailable on the site is the book “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” an antisemitic conspiracy theory book that purported to reveal a Jewish plot for world domination. That book was cited favorably by Hitler in “Mein Kampf” and has been promoted by notable anti-semites such as Henry Ford.

Likewise available for purchase are copies of “The Planter’s Northern Bride,” a U.S. pro-slavery novel written in 1854, as well as “Race Crossing in Jamaica,” a book of racist pseudoscience by the eugenicist doctor Charles Davenport.

Ebay did not return requests for comment on why it is purging the Seuss books while still allowing shoppers to purchase works in support of racism and genocide.

Banned or challenged books are a common cultural flashpoint in the U.S., though it remains relatively rare for publishers to cease printing popular works as did Seuss Enterprises.

For years the American Library Association and Amnesty International have hosted an annual “Banned Books Week” every February. The awareness campaign is meant to challenge efforts to censor and prohibit reading material. Many events include public readings of challenged books.

The ALA’s Office for Intellectual Freedom has tracked the 100 most frequently challenged books every decade since 1990, with books on the lists including “Sex” by Madonna, the Harry Potter series, the pro-gay marriage “Heather Has Two Mommies,” and “Beloved” by Toni Morrison.

No Dr. Seuss books appear on the lists of most-challenged books from 1990-2009.

Dinesh D’Souza: $5,000 online college program would crush liberal hold on higher education

Dinesh D’Souza is proposing an alternative online university system with $5,000 yearly tuition, saying it could crush liberals’ hold over higher education.

The famed producer and author told the John Solomon Reports podcast this weekend that the new college system should be part of conservatives’ effort to defeat cancel culture and censorship by building their own educational and entertainment infrastructures.

“With regard to digital media and media generally – I mean we have to build our own platform. So I’m very much in the camp that says that at least in the short term, we need to build an alternative educational infrastructure, entertainment infrastructure, we need our own comedians, we really need the whole thing,” D’Sousa said.

“We need our own America inside of America,” he added.

He said a top-notch online education system was key to the whole infrastructure.

“We basically need one online university that has assembled together, the 100 top teachers and scholars in the world that will offer a Harvard level education for $5,000 a year. If you did that, you would make all of higher education obsolete overnight. I mean, the universities wouldn’t go away, but it was kind of like when the iPhone first came out, suddenly, all other phones were obsolete. We can do that for education, we can do that for media, you just have to make the right moves.”

D’Souza discussed the logistics of starting these new infrastructures.

“I think that the money is there and the will exists to do it. It’s just that our side is very erratic and there hasn’t been the creativity on the supply side to create these things. I mean, just think, for example, of the amount of creativity it took for Roger Ailes to go to Rupert Murdoch and just say, ‘Listen, you know, all these cable channels are fighting for half the country. Geez, why don’t we start one, make it a real thing, we’ll offer a rival point of view, we’ll take the other half of the country.'”

“It’s so simple,” D’Souza continued, “I mean, for decades before that, you know, all we did – our side did was, you know, complain about media, document the media bias. ‘Oh, it’s all so biased. We’re going to give the bias award to you know’ – who cares? Do your own thing and build your own, you know, mousetrap, and that’s really what Roger Ailes did. And that’s been my model for the world of documentaries and even feature films in Hollywood. That should be the model for education. That should be the model for everything.”

There have been various alternative educational institutions established in recent years to try and change the tide of higher education. Some of these include places like the Patriot Academy and Wallbuilders, which teach students about America’s founding, focus more on the cultural aspect of education.

Cheaper, faster, and more skills-oriented educational institutions that places like University Ventures are investing in pioneer the way for more effective education that helps prepare students for the workplace.

Co-founder and managing director of University Ventures, Ryan Craig, has said that employers are looking for job candidates with technical skills, so his organization invests in what’s called “last-mile” training providers that focus on those skills.

One of these “last-mile” training providers, AlwaysHired, “is an immersive tech sales bootcamp for recent graduates who want to gain sales skills and get a job in the tech industry.”

Craig is an author of a book entitled “A New U: Faster + Cheaper Alternatives to College” which discusses the issues with higher education and offers better solutions.
